Corroded Light explores the moments in between. Just after the light goes. Just before it returns.

These paintings are made from layer after layer of watery glazes, softened with misty charcoal dust, in warm palettes that sit both dark and light at once. They shift and change depending on the light around them, never looking quite the same twice.

Large in scale and painted on deep edge canvas, ready to hang, I hope they offer a quiet moment to pause.

About the the collections - Cloud Swell & Corroded Light

I rarely work on one painting at a time. Instead, I move between two states: wild energy, with big, bold movements, and quiet, deep stillness. I never settle in either for very long, and each one shapes the other.

Cloud Swell and Corroded Light grew out of that rhythm. One holds the energy, the other holds the pause. They sit side by side because neither could exist without the other, and together they reflect a way of working that moves constantly between the two, in search of balance.

All of my original paintings and art prints can be shipped throughout the UK. If you’re looking for shipping overseas please get in touch to make arrangements.

If you’d like to collect from my home studio, just outside Bristol, please select Local Pick Up at checkout. I’ll be in touch to arrange collection with you.
