Wild Winterings: Expressions of Coastal Landscapes is a collection of abstract paintings taking inspiration from wintery wild coastal landscapes in the South West of England. Exploring a sense of spaciousness, visually and emotionally, with bold gestural marks conveying the strong landscapes and blustery weather. These paintings are striking, contemporary and minimalist.
Paintings in this collection have been exhibited at the Royal West of England Academy (RWA), the Tarpey Gallery, and Black Swan Gallery.
About Me
I’m a contemporary abstract artist based in North Somerset, UK. I’ve exhibited with galleries in the South West and London, recently exhibiting at the Royal West of England Academy of Arts in Bristol and the Tarpey Gallery.
I love dramatic weather and big skies. The sense of peace and spaciousness offered by these landscapes inspires a lot of my work. My recent work explores these feelings visually and emotionally, with my collection Wild Winterings: Expressions of Coastal Landscapes being inspired by visits to the Cornish coast.
